Recklessness within Safety (Chocolate Cherry Smoothie Recipe)

As I'm writing this post, ants are crawling all over me as I sit at a lone table in the local Barnes & Noble cafe. I'm not kidding. I woke up to an invasion of ants in my bathroom and a visible trail of the critters from my window to bed, and they've followed me to my cafe haven of focus.

Many Ways to Go (THREE SMOOTHIE RECIPES)

Sometimes being a vegan blends with severe feelings of wanderlust. You yearn for a society that isn't mandated by rules, more like your own little haven of adventure. Choosing your own path with no one governing you, no censor for your self-expression, and no one's permission required to chase your wildest dreams.

Loving Failure (Lime Breakfast Recipes)

Well, does anyone really love to fail? The point is: when I fail, I am always greeted with love. It's a thing I want to tell you all about today. I've been heavily procrastinating and busy atop of it all, so I apologize for the lack of recipes coming up and about lately. My time has been scare.

But you Scribblers still love me. That's my point.

Vegan Basics : Rainbow Island (BLUE Recipes)

Today is blue day. That means today we celebrate the ones who are loyal and trustworthy. The ones who are the rocks in other people's lives. You are the wise ones who typically know a little more. You  are calm and truthful, let's celebrate you.

Oh, and since leaves never turn blue for a reason (there's a long, scientific spiel for that), and there are pretty much zip foods that are naturally "blue" besides blueberries... I've simply included blueberries in every meal today in honor of the blue people. (And no, not the Avatar people.)

Vegan Basics : Rainbow Island (GREEN Recipes)

Green. Sometimes you might think it stands for envy. Greed, avarice, and things that one might avoid in a person. But no. Green actually signals a fresh renewal. A sense of rest and relaxation that soothes... And the color of life. Let's celebrate all of you who are full of life.

Vegan Basics : Rainbow Island (YELLOW Basics)

Yellow. What you yearn for in the sun, yes? It's that blanket of relief when you've been freezing all day. Just a small puddle of happiness from where a rainbow starts. Today, we celebrate YOU. If you are yellow, you are that person smart enough to understand just how everyone ticks, and uses that to the advantage of cheering everybody up.

Like monkeys. They cheer people up. (: Or maybe they're just happy because bananas make you happy.

Vegan Basics : Rainbow Island (ORANGE Recipes)

Orange you glad? That's the question I greeted the morning with, and it simply set a better attitude for the day. ORANGE means putting energy into happiness. Here's hats off to those who possess enthusiasm, have the balls to be creative, and can be kind enough to provide encouragement to others. Let's celebrate you.

Vegan Basics : Rainbow Island (RED Recipes)

I recently decided to do a sort of rainbow island. My rules, my reasons. I wanted to celebrate all kinds of people in the world, using colors to do so. First up? Red.
Red. Apparently, it means intensity. Energy and passion and determination. If that's you, let's celebrate you.

Judgment without Jealousy (Rainbow Rice Rolls Recipe)

We, as the human race, are naturally a very envious bunch.
In fact, sometimes, if I feel like.... We compliment others with envy. And in doing so, rob the love that we deserve for ourselves, and lump it onto an ideal that we will never achieve.

Not sure if I'm fully making sense here yet... But read on, because ^those^ RAINBOW RICE ROLLS are headed your way.

Recover : Why Love Your Body (Carrot Cake Truffles Recipe)

People tell us, "Love your body."
But there's so much more to simply loving your body no matter what it looks like.

I Love My Mother (Mother's Day Recipe)

There was a big confession today. I uploaded my story, and the sole purpose was because I wanted to help others. If offers hope, an ability of empathy, or awareness / a sense of what it's like to even ONE person... It was worth it.

And even though the story may seem like it targets my mother as the cause of my struggle, please understand that my mother was also my way out. I love her, and I wanted to share a special Mother's Day recipe dedicated to her.

Restless Heart Syndrome {Strawberry Sorbet Sundae Recipe}

Yeah, I know it's a Green Day song. (They are creative genius GOALS, btw.)
And yeah, I have a hot pink sundae for you that is the color of a heart when it yearns. (Possibly not scientifically accurate.)

But does anyone else feel like me, sometimes?
I am deathly afraid of my life being normal.

What Makes Me Happy {Sweet Potato Sundae Recipe}

TGIF! Recently, I was tagged on Instagram to list ten things that made me happy. For some reason, I forgot Fridays. So much makes me happy. I just rambled on about the first ten things that came to mind.
But #2 was food. And #1 was veganism. And this sweet potato sundae meets both criteria in the most fabulous of ways. Let's talk about the recipe.

MinuteMusings : The True Meaning of Easter {Easter Tri-Layer Pastel Cake Recipe}

Wow, you guys, it is Easter. I know I should've dished out a quick and easy hot cross buns recipe, but I'm an exceptionally bad cook. Like, yesterday I extraordinarily burned pancakes I attempted to make for my Miss FruitifulYou Spring. So I prefer making raw vegan things. (:
This beauty, however, is a through and through healthy, all-natural trip-layer cake. It's raw and it's vegan. It's pretty, and it's delicious.

JourneyJournie : Words, Words, Words (Green Goodness Jar Recipe)

My mother once told me that her by her co-worker's words, "bloggers never really know how to write." And that might be true to an extent on my part, as far as my colloquial, low-key, babbling updates about my life are. It's an ongoing diary basically, so I hope my scribbles are balanced out my these recipes. In reality, fictional writing is actually quite a passion. For your constant support though, gotta love my Scribblers! Here's a creamy meal of delicious raw vegan yum for you.

Vegan Basics : A Trip to Banana Island {Banana Detox and Cleanse}

The past four days, I've eaten nothing but bananas.
Well, not nothing but bananas... But definitely a banana based nourishment, averaging 18-21 bananas a day.
To many, this sounds incredulous and overboard and crazy. I'm here to tell you why it's not. And give you three recipes to get you started on your own banana feast.
