{Pilot} WindowWishing : Times of Christmas Coveting

{Well, why do I wish yet again?}
Occasion: It's that time of year. Well, it's been that time of year for a while now. Everyone here has simply been suppressing their Christmas eagerness to make room for Thanksgiving. There are stakes being stuck into the ground and twine wired up: farms preparing to sell those evergreen Christmas trees under which we stick ever-anticipated gifts.

{Sometimes there's just a given that excuses us from some of our "crazy" wants.}
Need:
Get into the spirit, with wonderful decorations that make you more merry. And start right at home with all kinds of ideas to spice up the wonderful December feel.

Do It Yourself: Christmas

What should you get that one friend?

{Other times, there are things we want, but seriously, these are needs.}
Want:
Sometimes people just don't get a foodie's Christmas wants. No need to fret, because I've got your secret wishes prominently easy-to-share in the form of a Pinterest board. Follow to re-pin onto your own boards that continually hint towards what everyone should get you. (:

Celebration Around the World
{Now let's take this into perspective in comparison to everywhere else.}
Somewhere Else:
And how does everyone else celebrate Christmas? Have you ever wished to walk along the actually snow-covered lanes of up North, take a picture of Times Square at Christmas time? Seen how the holiday is commemorated around the world, from the light strings of France to the Christmas plays of England and the special Russian yelkas. Take a glorious trip in the form of pictures here.

What is this glorious food?
Here we have a wonderfully chilly bowl of Pineapple Sorbet topped with Kiwi Flowers and Pomegranate Seeds.

  • Cut one pineapple into chunks and freeze overnight.
  • De-seed one pomegranate.
  • Poke small knife through kiwi in zigzag format all around, then cut off ends.
  • Blend pineapple chunks and add water as needed.
  • Top with pomegranate and kiwi!
  • Eat and savor. (:
